NBA Wrap: Warriors go two-up in WCF
The Golden State Warriors put another dent in the Portland Trail Blazer’s NBA Finals hopes after beating them 114-111 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
After being down by double digits at the half, the Warriors won the matchup on the back of Stephen Curry’s 37 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Klay Thompson had 24 points, Draymond Green had a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double and Kevon Looney finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Damian Lillard led the Blazers with a 23-point, 10-assist double-double, CJ McCollum had 22 points and five assists, Seth Curry had 16 points and four steals, Maurice Harkless had 12 points and four rebounds, and Nigerian forward Al-Farouq Aminu ended the night with nine points and six rebounds.
Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals is scheduled for Saturday morning. The Milwaukee Bucks lead the Toronto Raptors 1-0 in the series.
Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals will be played at the Moda Center in downtown Portland on Sunday morning.
