NBA Wrap: Trail Blazers and Sixers force Game 7s
Two thrilling games were played in the NBA playoffs on Thursday night and saw two semifinal series forced to go to game sevens.
The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 119-108 in Game 6 of the their Western Conference semifinals series on the back of Damian Lillard’s 32 points and five assists, CJ McCollum had 30 points and six rebounds and Nigerian forward Al-Farouq Aminu got seven points and two rebounds.
The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic with 29-point, 12-rebound double-double, Jamal Murray also had a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Paul Millsap ended the game with 17 points and six rebounds.
The Philadelphia 76ers held off a Toronto Raptors series victory by winning Game 6, 112-101. Jimmy Butler had 25 points, six rebounds and eight assists, Ben Simmons had 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Cameroonian center Joel Embiid finished with a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors with a 29-point, 12-rebound double-double, Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam had 21 points and six rebounds, Kyle Lowry had 13 points, five rebounds and six assists, and Congolese forward Serge Ibaka scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds.
The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets will be at the Toyota Center in Houston for their Game 6 on Saturday morning at 3am.
