NBA Wrap: Blazers, Raptors take Game 7s
Two exciting and close Game 7s featured in the NBA on Sunday night and saw the Portland Trail Blazers and the Toronto Raptors advance to their respective conference finals.
Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard struggled and failed to score in the first half, but CJ McCollum stepped up with a 37-point, nine-rebound performance to help his team beat the Nuggets 100-96 in Denver.
Evan Turner had 14 points and nine rebounds, Lillard finished with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, Enes Kanter also had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Nigerian forward Al-Farouq Aminu had three points and three rebounds.
Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with a 29-point, 13-rebound double-double, Jamal Murray had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists, Gary Harris had 15 points and six assists, and Paul Millsap ended the game with 10 points and seven rebounds.
A 14-point, eight-rebound performance from Kawhi Leonard saw the Raptors defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 92-90. Congolese forward Serge Ibaka had 17 points and eight rebounds, Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam had an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double, and Kyle Lowry had 10 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Sixers were led by Cameroonian All-Star Joel Embiid with a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double, JJ Redick had 17 points and four rebounds, Tobias Harris had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double and Jimmy Butler finished with 16 points and four rebounds.
